Here at Lost Coast Outfitters, we set out to find anaffordable 2 hand beach setupthat delivers excellent casting and can stand up to the conditions of the California coast.

There are 3 options for this set up:

Perch – 6wt:

Designedspecifically for targeting surf perch up and down our coastlines. This outfit features the 6wt 12″ Echo Boost Beach Rod. The longerrod makes for easier casting and more line control. The rod will be paired with a RedingtonBehemoth Reel in 7/8. From there we will run some 50lb OPST Lazar line, our favorite running line for fishing in the surf. It will come with the appropriateRio Outbound shooting head for theseason. It comes with 4 striperflies, and tippet to make sure you are ready to hit the water as soon as you walk out the door.

Crossover – 7wt:

Designed for chasing schoolies and surf perch up and down our coastlines this outfit is considered our most versatile. This outfit features the 7wt 12’1″ Echo Boost Beach Rod. The longerrod makes for easier casting and more line control. The rod will be paired with a RedingtonBehemoth Reel in 7/8. From there we will run some 50lb OPST Lazar line, our favorite running line for fishing in the surf. It will come with the appropriateRio Outbound shooting head for theseason. It comes with 4 perch flies, 4 striperflies, and tippet to make sure you are ready to hit the water as soon as you walk out the door.

Striper – 8wt:

Designedspecifically for chasing Stripers up and down our coastlines. This outfit features the 8wt 12’2″ Echo Boost Beach Rod. The longerrod makes for easier casting and more line control.
